Closer your initial aiming at the target - much much higher chance you will hit your target, the lase just provides the precision, your calling in shots from the map provides the rought ballpark. Youre meant to aim the shell as close as possible to the target, as the shell only adjusts course with with fins in freefall.
The purpose of a laser guided shell isnt to just be fired and then somehow auto-home in on where you designate. Laser guiding can be tricky to get right but 9/10 times will work if you do it right. 'Guided' shells are a little dodgy, its best to just not bother with them to my knowledge. since there are so many translationerrors in the game im pretty sure laserguided is one too we played with the arty over 2 hours in different scenarios just to get a feeling and understanding of how they work right now ingame and they dont work as they are named thats for sure. We tried everything out with that supposed laser guided shells.they are not working and have no real life counterpart, so thats why only excalibur makes sense.
if you are infantry out in the field, mark the specific target as "laser arty"/"excalibur" and you will get a 100% hit on your target. so the plus which shows the radius of accuracy is not correct displayed in the arty computer.
That is not the case with this laserguided "excalibur" you can use it easily to target tanks/cars or any other specially object it will hit exactly were the arty had shot at. the exact point were he is firing at, the shell will come down.normally you have a circle which increases over distance to display spray of the weapon and accuracy.
Use them with that as thought and only mark this shells specially for your arty. a gps guided shell going for the target itself. There is no laserguided shell workin right now and im pretty sure the particular shell is meant to be excalibur.
